The Embassadors Program is one of four central programs the Entrepreneurs Club offers every semester. To date, the program has attracted and shaped some of the most impressive entrepreneurial faces at Northeastern, many of whom end up joining the E-Board.

To name a few, our current E-Club president Neil Bhammar, co-vice president Taryn Livingstone, and many others on our board have enjoyed the program as a stepping stone for becoming heavily involved with E-Club.

What’s in the New Embassadors Program?

You asked, and we listened! The Embassadors Program just went under a complete makeover and is back, better than ever, to help students kickstart and reinforce their interests in entrepreneurship.

Every semester, we have seen impressive E-Club members from diverse backgrounds across Northeastern’s programs participate in E-Club programs. Part of what makes entrepreneurship so prevalent and animated here is through the intercollegiate interactions we have in the vibrant city of Boston. Through this, we realized that there was a high interest in personal development and decided to restructure the Embassadors Program to meet this unmet need.

From this semester forward, the Embassadors Program will serve as a premier program for educating, inspiring, and enabling students with entrepreneurship fundamentals.

We are thrilled to announce our revamped curriculum created to bring valuable learning experiences for students to learn and apply entrepreneurial skills.

While Engage, Husky Startup Challenge, and Tuesday Speaker Series focus on learning interdisciplinary skills for yourself and building your startup idea, Embassadors is centered around helping you accelerate your personal and professional growth as an entrepreneur.

The semester-long Embassadors Program experience is focused on creating the building blocks for entrepreneurship through a structured curriculum. The program will focus on three key pillars that will serve as the core of what makes up an Embassador.

The three pillars for Embassadors Program 2.0!

The program consists of a series of workshops as well as embassador cohort activities focused on experiential learning. You will have the opportunity to leverage interpersonal relationships, develop an entrepreneurial mindset, and discover how you can be an entrepreneur. The virtual nature of the program will provide additional flexibility for networking events, bonding, and limitless opportunities for activities and hands-on training.

We aim to help you gain exposure to the opportunities we have on campus through bringing you together with new people (who knows, maybe your greatest colleagues or mentors), fueling your creative juices for new ideas and workflows, and enhancing your entrepreneurial mindset.

Embassadors will be able to directly apply their knowledge to the greater E-Club community through any of the programs. The Embassadors Program will provide driven students with the direction, tools, and community to become integrated with the E-Club community, all while transforming into an entrepreneurial leader.

Why become an Embassador?

The star of the Embassadors Program… is you!

For our Spring 2021 Embassadors Program, we are looking for budding entrepreneurs who are eager in building their skills and network as Northeastern entrepreneurs. Our program aims to nurture new faces interested in building their skill sets and contributing to a growing community. If you are a 1st or 2nd year and haven’t worked on a co-op, the Embassadors Program will give you a headstart in solidifying your career aspirations. If you are a 3rd, 4th, or even 5th year, being an embassador will help put your talents into action and help you hone your skills.

Because E-Club as a whole is a massive network of members, we find it so important to still hold a small, tight-knit cohort of dedicated members to help provide support and resources to help you grow in entrepreneurship.

Within the program, we aim to bring together people from diverse backgrounds at Northeastern to learn alongside each other and share their experiences. You will be pushed by your cohort members and directors to go outside of your comfort zone to explore new interests in entrepreneurship while having a safe space to “fail” without fear.

Part of the Embassadors Program’s mission is to build and engage the community throughout the whole semester, serving as community leaders throughout our entire E-Club family. Embassadors will be able to connect with historical Northeastern legends — both current students and alumni — as well as gain valuable real-world skills. Going through the program will heighten your skill sets on all levels, and we believe that embassadors will come out as sharper, enlightened, and empowered members.

About the Directors

Now introducing the incredible masterminds behind the huge Embassadors redesign!

Or Behiri

Or was an Embassadors Director last semester and is serving on the board again to integrate new changes to the program. Based on his personal experiences as an ex-Embassador himself, Or is keen on improving the state of the Embassadors Program so that members can have a more memorable and impactful journey.

Nicolette Simitian

Nicolette is a new face to the Entrepreneurs Club E-Board and brings a lot of experience across MOSAIC organizations to the table! She is excited to serve as a Director this semester to help redefine the program’s image. Nicolette is passionate about transforming the Embassadors Program as well as expanding outreach efforts to resonate strongly with diverse groups on campus.

She discussed her impostor syndrome with us and how she was intimidated by E-club towards the beginning of college:

“I would have loved to have gone through a program like this because it’s always been a space I’ve been interested in. I’ve definitely had a lot of impostor syndrome and was intimidated by E-club early on at Northeastern. Being a part of this club and co-director for Embassadors now, I want to create a space for women, non-binary folks, anyone going through Northeastern and interested in this space feels comfortable and welcomed into.”

All in this together

Entering the Embassadors Program, you will embark on a new journey to completely transform what you thought entrepreneurship was. By the end, we hope that you emerge with a newfound family and a network of people that will help and support you for the rest of your life.

If Embassadors was a musical, the cohort would definitely be as in-sync as the High School Musical cast.

For this semester, we hope you join our cohort of twenty people who are bold, entrepreneurial, and excited to learn. If you’re someone who’s been waiting for the right moment to put their foot in the door, this is your opportunity. We can’t wait to see how you will grow!
